When ordering a few BeerChief t-shirts and stuff during the week i noticed the logo couldn’t be printed on certain garments…
Why is that? It’s because the logo isn’t plot print friendly… it has gradients, loads of colours, very thin line strokes etc… It isn’t a ‘vector’ image as spreadhsirt call it. This is one of the reasons why most web 2.0 logos are kept plain and simple.
We were aware of this at the time we got the logo designed and we both decided to give two fingers to the standard plain and simple look for various reasons and i’m still happy we did that.
But anyway, fear not, i’ve slimmed down the BeerChief logo myself and no doubt you’ll be seeing this on a few t-shirts or bags or something soon
If you do, you’ll now know why it isn’t all glossy and cool like the one on the official site is
But it still ain’t bad!

How is work progressing on Beer Chief, any updates? Has the coding started?
Very well indeed… we’re delighted with the work so far…
The coding has started, in fact the main structure of the site is all in place so it’s a case of fine tuning everything to suit our needs.
Loads of AJAX, and a really bright and wacky design are probably the first things you’ll notice. I’ll try and give a more detailed review of the site (so far) next week, with a few screenshots or perhaps a screencast.
