Samsung G600 Competition

The following is a sponsored review through PayPerPost. Although i’m getting paid to do it, i’ll give my honest opinion.

The Samsung G600 5 megapixel camera phone is serious piece of kit. Like more and more phones out there, it’s debateable whether or not you can call it a ‘phone’ anymore due to the 5mp camera and various multimedia goodies. My n95 also has a 5mp camera along with an endless list of stuff, and it’s great to see more manufacturers pushing the boundaries on phones with regards powerful camera/video/mp3 capabilities.

Anyway, the G600 is slim, sexy and Samsung are marketing it as ‘the image conscious phone’. I haven’t got my hands on one so obviosuly i can’t say much about it. The reason Samsung ordered this review however was more to publicize their ‘Queue Jumpers’ competition and the fun that this little beast of a phone captures on nights out clubbing

Basically, 300 people were snapped in various clubs on a G600. Their pictures are up here and we, the public, vote for our favourite person/snap. The 15 people with the most votes gets a G600 for themselves. Some hot girls in there by the way  In fact, 14 of the current top 15 are female

Samsung also have a facebook poll running which will pick out 15 more winners of a G600, the full 30 winners are then put into a hat.

One lucky winner also gets a free photoshoot with a top agency worth £10,000  So i guess we have the power to decided who wins what. It’s certainly an ‘out of the box’ idea for a competition and pretty clever as the competition fits in nicely with the brand image Samsung are trying to create, so hat’s off to the guys at samsung.

I hope Samsung gets it right here.

My experience with Samsung isn’t a very positive one. I bought a 46″ Samsung LCD Flatscreen TV last year and I am now having problems with the screen …. the left quarter of the screen is darker than the rest of the screen.

If my suspicions are correct ….. the LCD screen has given up the ghost and will need to be replaced.

Not a good report for a Samsung product which is less than a year old and cost over €3,000.00 when purchased!

ABS ……….. Anything But Samsung in my book at the moment ….. and I have over 3,000 reasons why!

I’m still reeling from the fact that Samsung, a seemingly good brand name could fail so quickly with such an expensive item.

I’m now looking at a space on the wall where my Samsung used to reside …. it’s with the “doctor” at the moment ….. will it live? ….. I must wait for the “doctor’s” report/prognosis!

unfortunate i guess.. i bought a 32″ samsung LCD for my girlfriend about 6 months ago, in fact i blogged about it

anyway, she’s had no problems.. these things happen..

it’s the same with PC’s.. a dodgy bit of ram could feck up a brand new PC/laptop - any make.. it’s just unlucky. that said, nothing just breaks for no reason, so either there’s a fault with the electronics or else it’s taken a knock somehwere along the line.

i know my 2 year old ‘playsonic’ CRT TV came with a little purple/greeny area which is only visible when watching snooker  really annoying but i just couldn’t be arsed taking it back as i got it cheap anyway and it’s too big/heavy to take in/do without/take back etc..

for €3000 however, i’d expect better.
