By my calculations, PR will be updating any day now..
That means the PR snapshot has already been taken; probably a few weeks ago..
So with this in mind i’m now abandoning my ‘fewest outgoing links as possible’ policy..
I’ve added a top commentators plugin which rewards you guys with a free linkback to your site. I’ll also be placing text-link-ads here once my PR is updated.
To cap it all off i’ll be adding a few more blogroll links to other bloggers which i’ve come across lately..
If i do get the PR5 i’m looking for, i’ll finally be able to apply for Text-Link-Ads and ReviewMe with this blog. It doesn’t necessarily mean i’ll make more money, but it certainly increases my chances

Good luck on the PR update, dont run your site by it though. Readers no.1, earnings 2nd
I find PR a very fickle thing, it’s best not to waste too much energy in trying to get such high links, or paying for them. Let the link love reach you naturally, by creating good content and making blogging friends who will add you to their blogroll.

it’s a fine balance.. not many get it right.. but i’d rather have a PR5 than PR3, even if it doesn’t benefit me finacially. It looks good
It’s a personal goal.. i suppose it cements my place as a respectable blogger.. for a year or more i see the big guns with high PR, so it would be a nice confidence booster to be up and around their territory PR-wise.
you see a PR3 and sort of label it as a weak site, not much content or updating, no real traffic.. a pr5 grabs your attention as you know there’s something of interest on this site.. that’s the way i see it as a browser

How many links show up on the google webmaster portal for you ? I think there are some tools that will predict your PR on iwebtool.com and you can check many DC on digpagerank.com

well im ranked 293k on technorati, with an authority of 22.
iwebtool used to show me as a PR4.9, which is 0.4 more than what i need to be a PR5.. it’s not working atm for me though
well.. Google has been unpredictable with PR updates in the past so it’s just fingers crossed and hope to get the update soon!

i just came across a pr5 blog which has gone to pr3; just noticed it tonight..
as with all updates, you’ll have some very angry people, some very happy people and some webmasters who don’t even know what pagerank is
May we all skyrocket to PR7 and be flooded with money!!
