November 2009 Review

Posted on Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 at 10:59 pm

November was one of those months that will go unrecognised come January when i get my semester 1 results. I had a lot of assignments, projects and presentations. I hate talking about college on this blog, but the blog is about me & my life, so i can’t just ignore something that takes up a huge chunk of my time every day.

In the middle of the month however i managed to get away to Paris for Ireland’s world cup qualifying match against Paris. You can read all about that here. In summary, we were beaten by a controversial goal which is still being talked about by just about everyone…

Earlier in the month i also got myself a lumiz TZ7 (camera) which i got to really test out in Paris. I’m still impressed by it and hopefully there’ll be many more pictures & videos to come…

Moving on to software now and whilst randomly looking for some time saving applications, i came across windows live sync and created a huge post on it here. In a nutshell, it allows me to sync folders between my desktop & netbook over my local network (which means faster speeds).

I ended the month with three consecutive posts about college but thankfully the college posts will now start to thin out as this is in fact my last full week in college. I still have Christmas exams to complete this month, but i can already see the freedom.

Over Christmas, i’ll have at least 5 weeks off. I can’t say i need it or deserve it (in no other job do you get that much time off), but we have been in college non stop since early September which is an awful long time in the world of education.
