New site indexed in 24 hours

Man Utd Info dot com, one of my new sites, got indexed in Google within 24 hours, virtually out of the box with wordpress.

The only SEO mod i made to the site was changing the permalink structure to /%postname% rather than leave it at the default numbers and goble-de-guuk. I really can’t stress how important that is when optimising wordpress.

Anyway, i wrote a crap load of content for it and racked up about 20 pages and a couple of posts so that may also have worked in my favour

I’m a great fan of Man Utd and although this site was bought with a view to flipping it down the line, i may just hold on to this one as i know for a fact people do not like my style of writing and thoughts on the game when it comes to football. You only have to look at my boards.ie record for that (bannings, warnings, personal insults against me )

If i can manage to comment on every game, this blog could easily become my biggest blog next to smemon.com of course. I do follow Utd and watch all their games, know the players inside out and know the history of the club, so this is definitely a subject i can write about with ease.

That’s always a good thing. As you can see from the site, i’ve done a hell of a lot of writing on it so far… that was all done in one night

I’ll be making a custom designed header for it this week and adding a few more articles to it. I believe due to the domain name and my seemingly ever expanding knowledge of SEO, i can pick up some heavy traffic from this blog and that’s my aim.
