never run out of carrots

Every so often i just take a step back and look at my life. Deep thinking, deep analysis.

It’s easy to live day to day, it’s difficult to live today and plan for tomorrow whilst trying to learn from the past

I certainly don’t stand still nor do i live day to day… i’m always looking ahead, always trying to improve. Improve what? My websites, my PC, my surroundings, my bank account, my life in general…

At present, i’m not happy. I want BeerChief up and running, i want a new office, i want to get all that out of the way and be able to make a living online afterwards.

Once i get all that done, i’ll be happy. But i guarantee you, once all that is done, there’ll be more things i’ll want done… to turn BeerChief in to a business, to get a new car, to buy a new laptop… that’s just the carrot that dangles in front of me all the time…

But without the carrot, the donkey doesn’t run, right? Will the donkey ever give up? No. The faster he runs, the hungrier he becomes, the greater the need for the carrot, the more energy put in to trying to get it…

Eventually the donkey will die with the carrot still in front of him, but the donkey will probably have made up millions of miles before death

In order for me to work to my potential and keep that drive and energy there, i need the carrot in front of me. Unfortunately for me at this stage or perhaps fortunately i have a whole sack of carrots in front of me to keep me workin!
