Well, i was expecting a PR 5 on the last update, minimum PR 4… and in fact i ended up with a pathetic PR3 (no change from before).
Despite the fact i’d added about 150 more posts, built up thousands of extra backlinks etc.. google didn’t seem to reward me..
For the craic, i logged onto iwebtool today and used their pagerank predictor which is generally accepted as the best PR predictor, and is fairly accurate give or take maybe 1 bar.
Look at the predicted PR for smemon.com – PR5
This is only a week or so after the last update.. The PR snapshot was taken in late march/early april.. and the only thing i’ve changed since then is my www and non-www re-directs.
I’m angry by this, but at the same time relieved as i know the site is indeed worth more than it’s current PR3. So come July/August and the next update.. expect a PR5 at least. It’s what i deserve
By that stage i’ll probably have over 500 posts and god knows how many backlinks..
