manufactured bloggers..

There are two types of bloggers in this world.
- Those that blog for traffic/cash/to make a quick buck not caring about how they go about it..
- Those that would blog anyway even if they didn’t earn cent…
I think i fall into the latter more so than the former, that’s evident from my history.. i’ve been blogging consistently for the guts of a year, it’s only the past month or so i’ve actually started earning money from it
If you create a blog to make money, you’ve failed instantly, before it’s even up. Why? Because you’re putting traffic and cash ahead of content and readers. You’re mind is focused on money and not blogging so you’ll more than likely take any money you can get without considering your readers..
Classic example is a webmaster related blog reviewing completely off topic things like armchairs or petcare, just for a few bucks. You do that and you’ll never make any progress… it’s tempting to accept any cash on offer, but the hardcore blogger will realise that’s a big mistake.
The guys that do that are what i’d call manufactured bloggers or bandwagon bloggers who’ve seen some glamour in the industry and think they have the ability to get in on the action without much work or research.
The organic/hardcore bloggers will resist the extra few bucks if it means it will lower the standard of their blog and their work. I try to keep everything on topic here.. all of my paid reviews are web/technology related as that’s the main theme of this blog, that’s the business i’m in..
As a blog lover, i’m happy to see bloggers earn cash and do sponsored reviews.. but once they get greedy and chance their arm with an off topic post, that’s when the cracks and doubts start to appear about their intentions/morales ![]()
