looking forward to summer

Another one of my late night rambles here, but this is the time of day where i’m most alive and can write effortlessly :mrgreen:

College is somewhat of a nuisance at the minute. It’s a time hog for me and there’s the added pressure of exams, which can be mentally draining.

But looking forward to 2 or 3 months down the line, it’s gonna be an exciting summer. BeerChief is on course for an early summer launch and with that comes an awful lot of work. Testing, administration, promotional…

But it’s work i can’t wait to get started on. It’s impossible to judge how people will react to it and how fast it will grow, but we’ll be going all out to deliver and i personally will not stop until BeerChief is exactly how i envisioned it would be..

Looking at it in summary, i’ve basically spent a year working on this (all be it on and off) and thrown all i can afford financially in to it. So it’s definitely a risk, a commitment in that i’ve given up a lot to make it all happen, as has Adam - my partner.

There are a few driving factors behind doing this though, there always are… the main reason is because i want to set up and run a successful business, maybe even live off it and employ other people. That’s the ultimate coup. Doing it with BeerChief - my first real attempt - would not only be a huge achievement, it would also give me a massive confidence boost to go on and bring many of my other ideas to life.

Then we have the smaller stupid things, but motivational none the less;

- silencing all the doubters by getting the BeerChief name in papers, radio, blogs etc..

- gaining links and contacts within the industry

- being able to tell people i own & founded my own business

- going back to my old school as an ‘expert’ to give a talk on something

They’re all little things that keep me working and eat away at me in the back of my mind, there are probably hundreds more that i think of every single day - always eating away at me. You need them. You need trophies to win as if there’s no trophies, it becomes less important and everything takes a back seat. So i have to create my own trophies, however small and stupid they may be. If they act as a goal or a target, then it’s job done.
