Inspiration..

I watched this whole interview on Guy Kawasaki’s blog at the Churchill Club. It’s about 100mins as you can see so you’ll need a bit of time on your hands to get through it all..

I didn’t really learn anything new, but you tend to listen more when you’ve got 3 or 4 huge success stories talking about how they did it rather than reading books or blogs. The panel includes Markus Frind (plentyoffish.com) and James Hong (hotornot.com). I was very impressed by James’ Hong. His attitude is spot on and although he’s lazy and doesn’t like working, his enthusiasm and intelligence shines through imo.

Most of the panel agree business plans are useless and you don’t need venture capital at any stage during a start up, unless you take off overnight and can’t support it yourself. Rather surprising as most books would convince you those two things are compulsary in order to make it. Basically, this video proves that you or i can create a successful website with a few hundred dollars, a computer and an internet connection.
