According to this article from TechCrunch, Feedburner is being bought out by Google.
Oh yes, for the small sum of $100m 
I suppose it’s small change compared to the youtube $1.5 billion takeover 
I think Google just likes buying hot property for the sake of it and to show off. Almost like me buying an n95 – i don’t need it, the money would have been better invested in other projects, but it gives me a new toy to play with and show off to people
