cold hard stats

I promised to post up stats from this blog as i had a little surge thanks to my 18 random website ideas article being dugg a bit.

I’ll also give a little summary of how this blog is coming on.. it seems to be growing/moving up the rankings every day.

Below is a screenshot of my traffic (recorded by google analytic) for the past 30 days..

  • 3090 unique visitors
  • 4951 pageviews
  • 33.37% organic traffic (from search engines)

As you can see, that little surge towards the end of the 30 days was when the digg effect kicked in, bringing in almost 400 unique visits that day. Things have since died down, but traffic is still almost approaching 200/unique visitors per day.. If i can maintain that i’ll be happy.

  • Alexa Rank: 426,658
  • Technorati Rank: 236,176 (27 Authority)
  • Pagerank: 3; 2 inner PR3 pages also so in total 3 PR3 pages. (i never noticed the inner PR before, so perhaps google updated that recently)
  • 532 blog posts
  • 1726 spam comments caught
  • 17 wordpress plugins live and active

So i’m pleased with progress. The pagerank or lack of it will always annoy me, even though it technically doesn’t mean anything. I know the pagerank is 4 or 5 yet it’s showing 3 so that’s frustrating but i just have to deal with it.

Of course one of the biggest improvements on this blog has been revenue. It accounted for over $70 of my $121 earned last month. That’s a stat i’m eager to improve.

what tool do you use to check inner PageRank ?
Becky

i just open up pages manually and go by the toolbar PR

the ‘about me’ and ‘contact me’ pages are PR3 so that’s good for you guys on the top commentators list

You might like to check out Google’s Webmaster Tools (http://www.google.com/webmastertools) if you haven’t already.

It features some nice crawl stats, inner pagerank details (not values, but medium, low, high, unranked), incoming/external link details, anchor text etc.
