Only a few days ago, i added more ads to JPEGr..

So it then had 2 banner ads, top and bottom of the page. (total of 4 ad slots)

Earnings did increase slightly so i was happy with that, however i’ve noticed traffic is slowly starting to decrease. This is because the site gets a lot of traffic from stumble.. so when people see too many ads, they’ll give it an instant thumbs down, regardless of content…

So i’ve immediately changed adsense on? JPEGr to a different format and location to blend it more. I’ve placed text units (4) at the top of the page and blended it into the background. I didn’t want to blend it too much, so i placed the text in orange lettering, with a dark grey background.

So the ads stand out, however they are very understated and don’t interfere with the content, so the homepage still has that classy look and feel to it, which is very important apparently for stumble traffic.

So lesson learned Stumblers don’t like too many ads.
