BeerChief.net snapped up…
Obviously i’d bought beerchief.com as i’d been planning it for months. I hate having .net’s and .org’s etc.. i must have .com’s as they are the most powerful extension in terms of SEO and just word of mouth. For example, if someone says ‘check out bebo, it’s a cool site’, i’ll assume it’s bebo.com. But it may not be of course.
So for that reason, i must have .com’s. ‘beerbo.com’ was a target for me and i spent a bit of time trying to prise it away from the owner but he wouldn’t budge on a $10,000 price tag (even though it had no content or plans)
beerbo.net was free, but it just wasn’t the same…. i thought to myself, if this thing takes off, i’ll need a .com for maximum effect.
So then i put my thinking cap on and came up with BeerChief.com.
Just today, i’ve registered beerchief.net in my name also. It can’t do any harm. Imagine what bebo.net or myspace.net is worth now??? $xx,xxx. 5 figures easily. If anyone wants beerchief.org, feel free to grab it
i’ve got the big 2 and they are the only two that matter to most domain hunters.
Also, if we ever sell the site, having a .com and .net address can be a big selling point to some. For $9 a year, it’s not going to break the bank and could possibly turn out to be a wise move.
