alexa and firefox, together at last

For years, Alexa has been the home of stats..

Alexa measures traffic by the amount of people who use it’s toolbar in Internet Explorer.

That was fine until a few years ago when firefox came along.. the majority of us tech savvy geeks switched to the superior firefox and as a result Alexa’s stats were obviously flawed in many people’s eyes.

With firefox and alexa now working together, we’ll get more accurate traffic results. For me personally, it’s a good thing. Across all of my sites bar theleavingcert.com, the majority of visitors use firefox (probably because they’re the more educated, ‘with it’ user).

Alexa plays a small part in text link ads pricing and reviewme ratings etc.. so us webmasters should see a rise in our rankings

The new plugin for firefox is available for download here.
