3 news sites to launch shortly

Posted on Monday, May 18th, 2009 at 10:35 pm

At the minute, i’m working on not 1, not 2, but 3 new websites.

One

wifimapper.com is one – it’ll map the locations of free wi-fi hotspots mainly in ireland / uk to start out. It’s using joomla and the design is finished – i just need to start adding content.

Two

Site no.2 is an idea site, where you can submit, rate and browse ideas. It’s using pligg and some tweaks of my own. I’ve yet to add a template and clean it up, but it’s working perfectly and it’s very much a dark horse website – it could well become one of my biggest.

Three

Site no.3 is a partnership with Sean from leateds.com. We’ve been working on it for a while on and off these past few weeks and it’s pretty much ready to rock and roll – we just need more content. It’s a beautiful site and one that brings a smile to my face

All of these sites should go live around about the same time. Next week i’d imagine. After that i’ll get stuck in to BeerChief work and give myself a general to-do list to keep me working all summer. One thing i will be doing though is completing that skydive i had to put off last year (well we just ran out of time as they close during winter months). I’ll begin to get the wheels moving on that again shortly and i’ve agreed a rough date of july/august (before i go back to college but as soon as i raise the funds).

About Sean MacEntee:

I'm a 23 year old Irish student, blogger & IT addict. I love building websites & then playing with them!

  1. Looking forward to seeing wifimapper. We started a collaborative map on Google a few years ago and there’s quite a lot of data there if you’d like to use it -
