About a month ago i put together a new site called hotelsrevealed.com. It was unique in that i blogged about how i was developing it – step by step.
Roughly one month later, and the site has received 628 unique visits, 1512 pageviews.
A massive 85.67% of those visits have come directly from google. That tells me two things;
- I know how to SEO a site
- I know how to spot a niche.
I’ve only added about 12 posts to the site and done nothing with it for a month so it’s not as if i’ve been trying to improve SEO or get traffic.
Follow my SEO tips from yesterday and there’s no reason why you can’t pull in traffic from google.
By all means – pay for SEO services if you want, but i’m telling you now that it’s nothing to be scared of. Certainly not if you’re using wordpress and not if you’re willing to learn.
There is one thing no amount of tuition or SEO can help you with however…. it’s content. Without unique content and lots of it, you’re gonna struggle to get any traffic.
You can get in to a quality -v- quantity catch 22 type situation but in general, the more content the merrier so long as it’s unique and related to what your site is about.
