I have big plans for lucky.ie and right now, it’s important we keep up the good work and keep ourselves motivated. Most importantly, it’s important we have fun
2 days in, and i’m still beating Enda (whoever profits most in a month wins). I’ve actually made a profit of €2.78 so far from my initial €20 kitty. Enda has lost 15c overall so far.
So within 48 hours, i’ve gotten myself a 10.7% ROI. Not bad
Of course it is still gambling, and sooner or later i’ll get my fingers burned – i’ve no doubt about it…. but i’m determined to end every month in profit and if possible, beat Enda.
I have bet before online, usually losing (eventually), but i think i’m much smarter with my bets now that i know i have to blog about them in public… there is a certain responsibility on me. I don’t want to do anything stupid because i know if it backfires, i’m left with egg on my face. So you won’t see me throwing my entire kitty on single bets or anything like that.
Anyway, lucky.ie is going well so far and it’s an example of a site that just runs on passion. They’re the best type of sites to own – you don’t even know you’re working on them because you’re having so much fun or have a genuine interest in learning more about the niche.
It does help when you have a name like lucky.ie too. We wanted to keep this an irish site, targetting irish people, so we were able to nab ourselves a quality, 5 character, single word dictionary word, which represents what the site is about…. (it could of course also be used for other niches!!).
But getting that sort of quality name gives you confidence to go on and produce a quality site to match.
