Work

So now that the buzz of my 21st birthday is pretty much over, i now have to get back down to earth and put some sort of fencing up around my work over the next month or so to give it shape. I’ll try to clean things up a bit for myself in this post..

Firstly, i’ve ordered two 20″ monitors, they should arrive tomorrow or wednesday. I’ll try and sort myself out with a desk this week also.

Secondly, i then have this ebook to complete. 50 pages roughly, i’ve about 30 complete so far. So real thought and a few hours work every night this week and that will be that out of the way and i’ll have $1k to show for it, along with a mighty fine ebook which should also send some traffic my way.

Thirdly, I hope to sell off a few more sites, the smaller ones. I think i might just cut my losses and dump loads of them to the highest bidder, with no reserve attached.

Fourthly, i’m going to try and put together a few more articles for theleavingcert.com. I’ve had a national newspaper contact me about this site earlier today and hopefully they’ll mention it in an article coming up to the leaving cert itself which is in June.

theleavingcert.com is now bitchslapping rival sites for hugely competitive keywords and it’s no fluke either. I’ve used all my SEO knowledge along with wordpress to try an topple the big guns in google for everything ‘leaving cert’ related.

There are several sites paying (using adwords) to get where i am on google and i’d love to know what sort of budgets they have because it makes no sense whatsoever to use adwords if the likes of me can feature on the frontpage with a bit of SEO work.

Anyway, fifthly, i’ve to keep an eye on dell.ie and for vouchers and deals which tickle my tastebuds. Prices have been slowly dropping and i’m really just waiting on another 10% discount voucher to buy an XPS 420. At the minute, my dream PC is about €130 too much. So a 10% coupon and i’m sold. If not, i’ll be ringing them up towards the end of the month and trying to get as much as possible off.

I’m a student, i have my credit card in my hand, i want this with x, y and z and i’m prepared to spend x amount, no more, no less. That’s exactly how i plan on doing things and i may even record the conversation for a laugh and we’ll see where i go wrong

Finally, i have a few minor exams in college this week and next so i can’t just neglect them, i’ll need to put in some sort of effort just to pass. I also have my end of year exams this time next month. Passing is all i care about now, college is really starting to interfere with my schedule now

I just want to get online and working to build up more earnings. I want to give BeerChief the time it deserves and i’m also just after booking a 2 day break to london tonight, but i’ll talk about that tomorrow.

So a hectic schedule at the minute and it’s not going to slow down any time soon. I really can’t wait to get my new office though as it’s going to give me the boost in creativity and energy i need to get me through the summer and beyond.
