Since July, not much work has been done on BeerChief. Things started off well launching in private BETA testing. We got great feedback and put together plans for a version 2 but then we ran in to money problems, work was put on hold and before i knew it i was back at college and couldn’t find the time to do anything. Really, to do things right, you need a few weeks clear from everything. No distractions. That’s exactly what i have starting tomorrow once i finish my last college exam.

This weekend, i’ve put my BeerChief hat on again though and have begun putting together plans for our next big milestone – public release. I’ve penned in Tuesday, 27th January as launch day and i’ll do my utmost to hit it on time and on budget.
The site will be unrecognizable once launched – a complete overhaul is in store – a world apart from our existing site.
From then on it’s simply a case of getting people through the proverbial doors. I’ll be revamping our blog and using it as a magnet to draw people in to BeerChief. Once we get to that stage, BeerChief then becomes a ‘real’ asset in my eyes and starts to rise in value – it can only go up.
We’d be idiots to sell it anytime soon, but we’d also be idiots to hang on to it and potentially let it suffer if we can’t back it with cold hard cash and hardware. So although the site won’t be sold, we might have to shrink our slices of the cake in return for cash in the future – all with a view to improving BeerChief of course.
So starting this week, i’ll be talking to plenty of people and will get things moving ASAP.
