I’m now past the 200,000 word mark.

Quite the landmark for me as a blogger. Another 5 years or so, and i’m on course to hit the 1 million mark
By that stage, i’ll *probably* be in a full time job, maybe living on my own, getting married etc.. so no doubt i’ll have less and less time to blog as i grow older. But for now, i’ll enjoy blogging and i’ll still try to make it on my own whilst i still can.
In the last month, i’ve seen more traffic than ever from searches for ‘smemon’, ‘smemon87′ and ‘sean macentee’ (my real name). Over 200 unique visitors in fact those 3 keywords have sent.
So this shows i’m establishing myself online and building a reputation. People are looking for me, which means they’ve heard of me or seen me somewhere and want more info on me – that’s a good thing.
This blog is now also averaging 150 unique visitors a day which translates to around 4,500 unique visitors per month.
Although i’ve taken a hit with my google pagerank, which has undoubtably killed my PayPerPost revenue, i’m slowly starting to recover with private sales – which are the way forward i believe.
Even though i’m over a year in to blogging, i never get sick of it. The trick is to keep it as a hobby. Once it becomes work, it gets boring and i start feeling the expectation/pressure etc.. which sucks all the fun out of it.
So 200,000 words in, i have to big it up to you guys who are probably the main reason why i keep blogging. I’ve always said nobody writes something if they don’t want anyone to see it and that’s definitely the case with me. I want as many people as possible to view and comment on my work as it can only benefit me as a blogger and person.
