Firstly, i have to hold my hands up here and admit defeat. No if’s or but’s about it, i backed Agloco to the hills, like i do most projects i like or think will work. And now i’m left with egg all over my face
I suppose it’s consolation for me, that half the bloody world also backed them and are now also left burying their head in the sand
At least i didn’t throw money in to this… a lot of people actually used adwords to gain members and invested heavily in this, thinking they were the smart guys – they ain’t gonna be happy campers.
Agloco was a fantastic idea, and still is. The management and organisation was dreadful.
It took the biscuit when we got a ‘sorry, we’re out of ideas and packing it in’ email a few days ago. Why give up when you probably have every email address ever registered? Launch a half decent product or points based system like pigsback.com and at least you’ll still end up with something profitable.
Giving up before you even get started is unforgivable, especially when these guys had done the hard bit, and created viral marketing like the web had never seen before.
Anyway, for all you Agloco founders if you’re reading, this one goes out to you
