roykeane.net was basically bought for for these things:
- Excellent domain name, was too good to pass up and although not a .com, still has value…
- Approx 8000 searches a month, if i could get on google frontpage, i’d be guaranteed traffic.
- No competition apart from wikipedia. Do a search for roy keane and there is no real site about him.
- Roy’s a controversial character, always in the news, therefore people will always be looking for information on him.
- Auto-run – by cleverly using an RSS feed from google, roykeane.net gets the latest breaking news on Roy Keane.
at the minute, traffic is starting to pick up. I’m going to put google analytics on it to find out excatly where it’s coming from (i suspect from google). Thankfully, adsense ppc is pretty high. Well, nothing major, but not the average 10c per click, slightly more 
Another good solid investment if i do say so myself. Even at it’s current status, it will pay for itself about 10 times over. 
just think, if i had an army of roykeane.net‘s (a few thousand) id be a millionaire
