Like the rest of us, i was watching in awe as Alex Tew masterminded themilliondollarhomepage.com.
Up sprang the copycats, down they fell just as fast, and to this day i still see them knocking about the place. 
The million dollar idea is something we all dream about. Mind you $1m ain’t a lot of lolly these days. (€730,000, add in tax and expenses and it’s more like €450,000 which would barely buy you a house here in Ireland.)
The other day i blogged about the milliondollarwiki. I was fairly critical of it, but at the end of the day the owner can laugh at me as he’s the one with $25,000 and i’m the one with nothing but jealousy 
So i asked myself “Why didn’t i think of that?”, and i said to myself, hang on a second, i’m this guy’s age, i’m relatively broke like him but i’ve got ideas. So i’m going to give things a whirl.. i’ve contacted Adam (BeerChief partner) with basic plans for a milliondollar idea and i’ll see what he says. If he’s up for it, we’ll partner up again but if not i’ll find someone else.
imo, it’s just as clever as the wiki and mmmzr and the original idea itself.. so why not? what have i got to lose?
Like i said to Adam, i’ll definitely be doing this, otherwise i’d always be wondering about it and i hate that ‘what if’ feeling. Can i really pull it off? Well, the demand is there for these sort of sites, i have to think it will work – i can’t build a site i don’t believe in.
If the idea is unique enough, people will come to the site. If it’s cheap enough and the rewards are great, they’ll buy into it. I believe my idea can also sustain interest unlike the others, but we’ll have to wait and see.. it could be another spur of the moment ideas that amount to nothing, but if you don’t try, you’ll never know
