JPEGr to be sold..

Once again, JPEGr is falling under it’s own weight.

I’m now forced to move it to a dedicated server or else sell it. A reliable dedicated server will cost in the region of $80/month. It’s pretty steep and something i can’t really afford. I never intended to back JPEGr to the hills with cash and advertise it, i always thought of it as more of an investment. The fact it’s big enough to warrant a dedicated server shows it’s grown into a monster

We’ll need a dedicated server or 2  for BeerChief, but shelling out for JPEGr really isn’t an option at the minute. So i’ve decided to sell it.

I’ll now have to sit down and gather stats and decide how much i think it’s worth. I bought it for $500 and i expect to get double that back minimum, but at the same time i have to be realistic and not inflate it. Obviously i think it’s worth more than what other people will – purely because i own it.

So over the next day or so, i’ll be spending my time gathering stats and posting it on sales sites. It’s sad to see it go, but then again i can use the cash to back BeerChief which i believe has more potential.

It’s also one less site to worry about so it’s not all bad.
