well, 2 days ago i launched my 2 new sites:
camel-spiders and rachelmcadamsfan.
One is a wordpress blog using only an rss feed as content, the other is a joomla powered site with static and unique content.
Which gets indexed in google first? The wordpress blog – camel-spiders.
I’ve known this for some time that google seems to love wordpress, this just confirms it for me. I’m not ranked for keywords yet, from experience i’d say it will be in another 3/4 days.
This is very frustrating as it encourages spam imo… if you have an original site, with unique content, you should be indexed quicker and ranked faster than a clone or unoriginal site. If i was in desperate need for traffic or cash, i’d have to choose spam sites or blogs to earn a living. Obviously not what google wants or needs… but that’s what it’s encouraging.
As the no.1 search engine, it has a responsibility to favour unique sites. Perhaps it’s trying to encourage spam sites and blogs to use adsense to generate a quick buck for itself…. that would be a very evil and sly policy if that was the case… especially as google’s motto is ‘Do no evil’.
