found my Adsense replacement

I’ve spoken about the woeful results i’ve gotten with a long list of other networks in my attempt to replace adsense having been banned.

In about a week, i racked up a grand total of $0.32 across 4 different networks; adengage, bidvertiser, adbrite, bidclix..
Ok, so i was chopping and changing a lot, and was looking for immediate results but the CTR and targetting just wasn’t there. It just couldn’t match Adsense. For example, have a look at these results with bidvertiser;

5,443 impressions, 10 clicks :roll: a CTR of less than 0.2%, the average revenue per click is less than 4c which just ads insult to injury :mrgreen:

From the first of June i placed AuctionAds on my biggest/busiest site – JPEGr. Already i know AuctionAds kicks everyone’s ass in terms of targeting and CTR. Firstly, ebay sells everything and AA allows you to enter your own keywords, basically giving you the power to target ads yourself. They also display images beside text, which obviously look more attractive and get a higher CTR than just text.

Now don’t get me wrong, i don’t expect AuctionAds to replace Adsense, but for me, they are the best alternative. Have a look at the first 3/4 days in June so far.. CTR of well over 2%. Revenue per click isn’t great (~3c), but don’t forget about potential Ebay sign ups or AA referrals – both very valuable. So it appears i’ve found my adsense alternative :smile:

    Hi it’s me again :mrgreen:

    I have signed up for this now on my blog. I find that the ads just go to a search results page and not the item you click on. Is this the same for you? maybe I have it set up wrong.

    P.S Thanks for replying to my question about stats in your recent post.

    yeah, seems to be the same for me at the minute, must look into that.

    anyway, you’ll still get ebay referrals and auction ad referrals so it’s not all bad. Possibly, you’ll get revenue from any bid placed on any item from that search page either, but i’m not too sure about that.
