GoDaddy refunding me for all my domains!
Just got this email from Godaddy..
“Dear Sean MacEntee,
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN®) recently agreed to reduce their Registrar Transaction Fee from $.25 to $.22. What does this mean for you?
Good news. You have been credited $.03/yr for each domain name you registered or renewed dating back to July 1, 2006* — $.27 has been placed into your Go Daddy® account“
I’ll take that thank you very much..
and i’ll add it into this month earnings
every cent counts!
At long last, JPEGr has been accepted into TLA.
The text ads are estimated to sell at about $30 each. There will initially be 4. Having just moved servers and fixed some broken code, JPEGr is a real quality site, with a PR4 on all subpages. So i expect to sell at least 2 links a month on it. Hopefully, i’ll fill them all
I’ve also registered with Pixmania as an affiliate so i might be testing some ads out on JPEGr too. Text ads, adsense, affiliate links all on the one site… i think i’m finally starting to get the hang of this
Well, thanks to my ‘managing myself’ posts, i’ve managed to lure two readers into signing up for Agloco.
It means my network now consists of 28 (14 direct, 14 extended). With the viewbar release just days away.. we’ll finally see what all the fuss is about and how this system works.
I got an email from them yesterday, saying that:
“Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours”
So based on that, i’ll have my own 5 hours, plus 28 x 1.25 = 40 hours in total worth of shares/cash/peanuts from Agloco. (that’s maximum of course). Had i just registered and not referred anyone, i’d only have 5 hours worth of shares. So i’m now the equivilent of 8 single Agloco members joined together
Well, this week is turning into an excellent week financially for me
I’ve just got a €95 check from adsense (i’ll post pics later), i’m getting refunded ~€700 for the mobile i ordered, i’m getting about $20 from TLA, and Adam has paid me his half of our BeerChief contests.
Add in the fact im getting paid for my day job on thursday for last week, this week and next week + overtime for a bank holiday monday, and it means it will be one whopper of a week
About €1500 ($2000) i reckon going into my bank account in 7 days
It’s come at a fantastic time, as this is my last week in full time employment. However, €700 of that will be spent instantly on my n95. Still, it’s nice to say that i’m taking in €1500 this week
Well, i completed all of my tasks last week – my tactics were spot on. The fear factor worked. I’ve no doubt, had i not put my weeks wages on the line, i would still be running JPEGr on my old server, definitely wouldn’t have got another Agloco signup and more than likely wouldn’t have pushed myself to get a basic design worked out for BeerChief. (We’re currently running a contest to jazz it up a little).
So in my opinion, this is the best way to get things done. I’m literally being my own boss. On Sunday, i set down the weeks work. And during the week, i must complete that work. Failure to do so means i don’t get paid. Ingenius
This weeks tasks:
- Add 5 posts to woodfloorfitters.ie – i’m hoping to top google for a few keywords, so i’ll be posting at least 5 SEO’d posts on floor related stuff.
- Add at least 3 posts to yourseoniche.com – i must discover keyword niches and try to SEO a post to rank highly on google for that keyword niche.
- Get at least one direct Agloco signup – TeeJ saved my backside last week (thanks TeeJ
), so i’ll be looking for someone else to do the same this week
- Re-order my n95 – mobilefun.co.uk don’t ship to Ireland (even though they say they do and took my money
), so i’ll have to find alternatives this week.
- Blog at least once a day on this blog – again shouldn’t be a problem as i do it anyway, but just to make sure, i’ve put it down as a task.
- Review my dinner one evening.. – John Chow often posts pictures and reviews of his 5 course meals out in fancy designer restaurants.. i’ll show i’m more down to earth than that
- Backup all my music and files and do a hard-drive spring clean. I’m dangerously close to max capacity on my 100gb HD on the laptop, time to get rid of the rubbish and offload everything to the external hardrive – it’s been months since i’ve done that.
So there we go. That should keep me busy. A total of 15 blog posts, ordering a phone, getting someone to join Agloco and cleaning my computer. This could possibly be my last week as a part-time internet entrepreneur, so week #3 is when i’ll really start to pile on the work as i become a full time internet entrepreneur.
As usual, failure to complete any of the above tasks, will result in that weeks online earnings being donated to charity
I would say, ‘wish me luck’, but i’m so confident i’ll do this, i don’t think i even need the luck
I just can’t seem to back down from challenges, so by challenging myself and making the challenge public, i’m putting myself under pressure and for some reason, i love pressure situations
