looking for finance…
as i realised i’ve got nothing to lose, i’ve sent my best idea off to the men who financed bebo, ebay, metacafe etc… (basically the biggest sites on the net).
worst they can say is “no, get lost, that idea is crap”. Hopefully, they’ll share my vision and see that my idea could rival and crush bebo & myspace. It’s a music site, similar to bebo bands/myspace bands only with major cosmetic surgery and a few organ transplants.
anyhow, i’ll let you guys know what sort of reply i get. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere.. why not start at the top
Just to give an indication of how much these guys invest in businesses, they manage $4 BILLION in committed venture capital around the globe.
fingers crossed….
spent the last few days in manchester, at a christina aguilera concert.
without doubt the best live performance i’ve ever seen. No photoshopping or computer aided voice software on the live stage… most bands can’t hack it live… Christina was flawless… owned the stage, hit the highs and lows, played with the audience…
Manchester let her down as the atmosphere was ok, but considering the size of the MEN arena, it lacked real noise i.e i didn’t come out deaf like i normally would from ‘The Point’ in Dublin where your ears are literally ringing for about half an hour after a concert.
Again, pretty unrelated to entrepreneurship, but a powerful, adrenaline flowing performance like that can be channel’d into motivation. Those songs and memories are locked in my head now, so anytime i hear them, i’ll think of happy memories – real, loud, stunning performances. This can potentially help me to tap into energy reserves when i’m at a low.
E.g. im in bed at night, sleepy, but it’s early… how can i stay awake and get my mind fresh and thinking? Stick on a few aguilera songs
first impressions:
- nicely packaged
- well protected
- lacks bass
- keep falling out
- waste of money
Upon further examination….
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
the sound from the e3c’s is unrivalled, unlike anything i’ve ever experienced.. it’s no wonder these guys offer a 30 day money back guarantee..
i’m lost for words, the sound quality is top notch. Granted, im playing it through my audigy 2zs soundcard which in itself emits stunning sound quality. Combined with the new e3c’s, it is a truely flawless combination.
Im listening ‘Sweetest Thing’ by U2 at the minute at pretty low volume. I can’t hear myself typing, cant hear myself banging on the table, can’t hear people shouting at me!! it’s amazing. I’m picking up bits in songs you’d never hear on normal earphones/TV/sound systems…
The Package

you get a load of ear sleeves to attach to the actual phones. The idea is that one of the sleeve will fit you perfectly and will shut you off from the outside world whilst giving you studio quality sound.
i’m using the yellow foam sleeves. I found they give out the best bass whilst fitting perfectly.
The Quality
like i’ve said above, the quality is jaw dropping. These babies take sound to a whole new level.
I can hear the bass, but can’t feel it which is very strange indeed. It feels like i’ve my surround sound system on full blast yet only I can hear it – the neighbours can’t!
I’ve listened from the Bee Gees to Eminem, Mariah Carey and U2… it doesn’t matter – sound quality on all is excellent. Bass, Acoustics, Treble, Balance – it’s all perfect.
I’m no expert, i’m not a professional musician, but i like my music and own an array of digital music gadgets. The Shure e3c’s are already the best musical gadget i’ve ever bought and they’re not even run in properly yet!
Conclusion
go out and buy them now. You’ll not regret it. If you don’t like them, hell I’ll even refund you the cost! They’re that good. If you’re looking for an upgrade from your standard ipod plugs or those old black yolks you have lying about the house, get the Shure e3c’s now.
now, THIS is what i call music.
the €250 (rip off, i got them for €99) earphones i ordered have arrived after just 3 business days from America to Ireland.
Wouldn’t you know i popped out for literally 10 minutes and when i came back there was a lovely ‘undelivered’ note through the door. However i nipped down to the local PO and have them sitting beside my now – unopened, untested…
Guess what i’m going to spend the rest of the day doing….
atm, it’s about 4 months since i created my first site.
It’s been a slow, painstaking process to get any sort of stable figures earnings wise (even getting 10c a day isn’t guaranteed). The easiest way to do this is of course to set up a many sites as possible, but that’s easier said than done.
However i’m doing my best. At present, i’m averaging about $1 a day overall which may seem small… but add it up for a year. $365, not so small now. Considering i’ve several BIG ideas in the pipeline, i can safely say this revenue will increase.
without spamming, cloning or advertising it’s extremely difficult to get any sort of revenue from any site/blog, if not impossible. The most important thing is to remain focused on actual the actual sites and not get distracted by their figures.
In the words of take that, ‘things can only get better’
